Exporting an MP4 into a GIF in PS

I've opened an MP4 in PS, scaled it down as a smart object and added a background to it. I can play the entire video in photoshop however when I export a GIF, for some reason only the first few seconds get exported then the sequence ends. My timeline looks correct in PS, the whole video is there and it works just fine in PS.

Is there a limit to the length of an exported GIF?

Has anyone encountered this issue?

How long is the video timeline exactly, what is the framerate, what. are the pixel dimensions, …?

Does the gif work except for being shorter than expected?

Could you please post a screenshot with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Timeline, Options Bar, …) and the DfW-dialog visible?
