Exporting as a pdf

I want to be able to export my images as pdfs when I have finished working on them. I have tried to get help from Adobe's help desk but nothing they suggest works. I don't understand why this is so hard. They made me download a new version but it made no difference - is there some basic setting I need to change?

    You haven't told anyone the actual problem. If you want help, be specific about what happens when you export or save as pdf. Crash? Error message? Nothing happens? PDF created incorrectly? Or ????

      Is there a reason you can't use File > Save As...  or File > Save a Copy... to save a Photoshop PDF?

        I don’t think there is a meaningful qualitative difference between »exporting« a pdf or »Saving a Copy« as pdf. 

        Can you think of some parameters/features that the one would exclude and the other not? 

        What are the pdf settings you utilize? 

         

        Photoshop’s Export-functionality has undergone some changes in recent years and Save for Web is »Legacy« now, so I suspect the Photoshop team has been giving some consideration to these issues, but I doubt they will elaborate here …
