Exporting color libraries for specific psd's

See if I can explain this in short order.

I use Photoshop to build mockups of sites for clients. I then hand them off to my web guys to build the site out.

I know I can use libraries to build a color palette for the site based on the colors I used, as well as font names and sizes.

What I'm hoping is there's a reasonable and usable way to export this data for my designers instead of me manually building a swatch plate and typing hex codes.

Is this something that's available in PS? I'm using CC 2017.1

For a table of web safe color swatches, there is a way to create this from your image.

Make a copy of your psd and flatten it. You don't want to risk your master file if you want to make future edits.

Change the Image mode of your copy: Image > mode > indexed color.

This will allow access to the color table option at the bottom of the Mode sub-menu.

Follow these instructions to create the color table you want Customize indexed color tables in Photoshop

You then export it as an .act file that can be opened in Photoshop's Swatches panel, all colors in hex code.

Thanks for letting me know that works for you. Saves a good deal of valuable time as opposed to hand-crafting those swatch files.

    yes definitely.

What I end up doing every time is making a silly special color palette then taking a screenshot of it, manually typing the hex values and sending it. what a pain!

    this will help a lot
