As a scratch disk I have "Macintoch HD" and I can add by "V"  "My Pasport for Mac" an external disk connected via USB 3.0

[is that wise? The disk stores daily images until full ]

However I don't see in this list an USB stick 128 Gb 3.0 I plugged in hoping to extend my scratch disk.

MAC OS SIERRA 17,1 8GB

Thank you.

I do not use a Mac.  On windows I can use an external USB 3 Disk. However, PC Windows treats USB3 Sticks as removable media and Photoshop will not list removable media as scratch disk option.  Perhaps Mac Unix OS is like Windows OS and attaches USB 3 Sticks as removable media.

Also 3GB would not be much scratch space.  I have seen Photoshop use well over 100GB of scratch disk space. Here my windows configuration note ny USB3 External USB 3 E: is listed and configured as Photoshop scratch space.

E: is listed as a locak disk by Windows even though its is an external usb 3 diskl where windows list H: as a as a USB Dirve nou a locak drive.

The usb stick I used was not 3 Gb but 128 Gb, that should have been  a usable scratch.
