Hey everyone,
I have an assignment and my lecturer told me to search for the reason behind Adobe using a feather in their older Photoshop versions, anyone know anything about this?
cause i couldn't find anything on the internet and adobe said to try the forums.
So why did Adobe use the feather?

Seems like an odd request but ok - not really sure there was a reason behind the feather in older versions of PS besides the fact that the feather started with the Creative Suite versions.
Here is a history of the splashscreens and codenames for each:

Back in the day, it was always an Eyeball, which made more sense:
I never actually installed v3.0, which I got as a relpacement for Photostyler after Adobe bought Aldus, as Adobe sent me the brand new v4.0 a few days later.
