Feather is set to 0 px, but define pattern is still greyed out.

Hi everyone, I tried googling the issue first, came across a past post on here, but the feather was already set to 0px. I am simply trying to use polygonal lasso to select part of an object already in my file, and then make a pattern from that to use for "Fill" command. This worked in the past, and I have no idea why it isn't now. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out.
I would need a few more details to understand what exactly is happening here, as when I am doing the same I can complete the workflow.

What are your system specification and Photoshop version? What happens when you click on the "Fill " command? Is the dailog box not popping up? Do you see any error messages? What happens if you try the same workflow in a new file with single layer?
We're here to help, just need more info.
Thanks,

Ranjisha

To use Define Pattern there should be a square or rectangular selection (not trapezoid)
