Question

File folder background color

Hi all

I was wondering if it's possible to replace the white background color in the ' file -> open' folder.

I managed to adjust this for Windows10 but unfortunately the changes do not apply to the folders that open via Photoshop.

(Reason for me wanting to change this is that my eyes get tired/off vision when selecting the files from these folders... the white is too contrasty for my eyes)

Hope you can help, many thanks in advance!

You tried QTTabBar?

QTTabBar - QuizoApps

How to change explorer's background color in Windows 10 - YouTube

What version of photoshop are you using?

As an alternative you could use Adobe Bridge, where it is possible to have different colored

backgrounds (white to black and shades of grey) when viewing the contents of folders.

Edit>Preferences>Interface in bridge.

I am using Photoshop CC 2015.

I installed QTTabBar and managed to have the background changed in Windows but unfortunately it did not work for the folders showing via Photoshop.

Bridge could be an option but viewing and replacing files via the files->open option would have a definite preference.
