file not editable after I save yesterday

I am new to photoshop. I saved my file. I open today and it list separate layers but I can't seem to edit the text easy or move a picture like I was able to the other day.

Is there a way to free up this or do I need to start over?

Are the text layer still text layer or have you rasterized them. Is the layer palette still showing T as the layers content. If the big T icon is in the text layer in the layers palette double click on it to edit the layers text.

As you said, the layers are still intact.

• To edit text, you need to click on the text on the page with the Type tool (the T), then edit.
• To move something, first select the layer the contains what you want to move, then select the Move tool (the first tool in the toolbox), then drag the object to the new location. If something else moves, uncheck Auto Select Layer/Group on the left side of your Options bar (button bar at the top of your screen) and try again.

An easier option is to double click the T icon in the layers panel. It will jump you directly into that live text frame.
