Files Deleting When Clicked On

VERSION : 22.5.1

PLATFORM : MAC OS | BIG SUR

When I go to click to open a file on Photoshop, the file automatically deletes. I can't find it in a deleted folder, in my cloud documents, or anything like that. This just started & I spent 2 hours working on something just for it to be deleted. I reached out to support but they weren't really able to help, so I'm going to ask here.

Just experienced this same thing.  Each file I clicked on in the recent files list would disappear.

The video seems to show you deleting a file.

I suggest you Save regularly and save incrementally named versions after several hours work.

I  also suggest you save copies of the PSD document to your computer and duplicate copies exterrnally.

It might be worth you upgrading to the latest version of Photoshop – 23.1. You can keep the earlier version as well.
