files not opening

When I open Photoshop today, my files aren't opening when I double click on them in the Recent list.  Nor do they open if I right click on them in File Explorer and choose Open with Photoshop.  Not sure what is happening here.  Any ideas?  Thanks.

Try to reset the preferences of Photoshop using the steps described here:

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#reset-preferences

It's recommended to backup your settings before resetting the preferences.

Thank you.  I backed up my Preferences, then proceeded to reset them by opening PS while holding Ctrl+Alt+Shift.  At that point, I tried to open my file and it did.  Upon closing PS and reoperning, I am able to open files without a problem.  Not sure what happened - maybe some some temporary glitch.
