Final project in jpeg loses color when a layer gradient is added.

when i add a layer of gradient to my edit, the final saved product in JPEG format, the picture is not the same.It is too dark.

ANY SOLUTIONS???????

Not sure if I understand the issue correctly, could you please elaborate and provide some more details about the issue? A screenshot would be helpful as well. 

 

Adding a layer to gradient to your edit can change the output color if the gradient is applied. Use the Hue/Saturation tool by selecting Image> Adjustments> Hue/Saturation and in the opened dialogue box move the hue slider in a new position to replace the color and see if that helps.

 

Also, what version of Photoshop and the operating system you're working with? You can check that by going to Help > System Info.

Hello, rachel swift,

Did you put the layers together or is the gradient layer still by its self? If it is still not part of the other layers, try changing the % gradient layer to less than 100%. Best wishes, JH

Where are you viewing the saved jpeg that you see as dark ?  Did you Export (or Save) it with the colour profile embeded and if for web use did you convert to sRGB?
