Finding a simple grass brush - finding the old version of brushes in photoshop

Adding to Nancy's comment, you need the Legacy brushes

After loading the Legacy Brushes, you'll find it has a bunch of sub-groups, so the easiest way to find the grass bruashes is to use the search bar.  You can see that Search also found a preset in Kyles Megapack.  There are around 700 presets in that group, and it's a nightmare finding individual presets in a group that large without using the search bar.

BTW  I am sure you know that the grass preset uses Foreground Background jitter, so set both colours accordingly.  I started with darker greens and built up the effect with lighter greens. 

If you want a more random, and untidy lawn, try checking 'Flip X Jitter' at the bottom of Shape Dynamics.

We'd love to see your lawn when you've grown it. Probably best not to water your keyboard.
