Hi there.

I don't even know what to call the artifacts in this image that I'm trying to clean up. These purple/red outlines:

PurpleRings.PNG

This is a high resolution jpg. What are some ways to clean this up?

I'm a total newb with Photoshop - I use lightroom for my photography.

Thanks.

Danny

This looks, to me, like a reflection of something like a screen or TV on the glasses. Their placement doesn't look like "artifact" to me.

Due to the difference in the plane of the classes from the plane of the face, this might be difficult. My first suggestion would be to try to clone stamp it away (on a separate layer) and see how well that does. You'll need patience to not replicate unwanted pixels.

You can also try to select them and SEE if just adjusting the hue with curves may help... but that, I think, would only get you part way there.

Thank you. The clone stamp is a great place to start, mostly because it's one of the few tools I already know how to use!
