Flattening adjustments onto layers with effects.

I would love some help fixing a problem that is currently driving me insane. I had an action that worked on photoshop yesterday and today it is no longer working with the new update.

1) Make a text layer

2) Rasterzie

3) Apply stroke

4) rasterize layer style

5) add a gusassian blur

6) add a treshhold adjsutment

7) merge the threshold and the text layer with the blur on it

8) it acts like the threshold adjustment was never added

This is driving me crazy and I have uninstalled and reinstalled and restarted my mac. I am downgrading to an old version until I can find proper support for this.

Try checking the Action Steps and watch the layer selection to see if there is something missed. 
Check all steps to see if there is a step that is not compitable with the new Ps version.

What verion PS are you using? Are you trying to Flatten the image or merge down? If you are merging down you will need to apply filters then try to select all layers and merge down?

I copy-paste after merge and before treshold images and I do not see any difference. What is your goal? To make image after merge same as before treshold or something else?

You can use and Image > Adjustments > Treshold, by the way.

Merging an Adjustment Layer on a Layer with soft edges can naturally negate the effects it had on the areas where the Layer’s semitransparent pixels and the pixels of the Layers behind mix. 

Why are you rasterizing the Type Layer instead of using a Smart Object?
