Question

Floating Adjustment layers using shortcut have extreme lag the sliders are not responding

I didn't have this problem before the file size is only 3GB and all the sliders especially the hue and saturation are extremely laggy or non-responsive. I tried everything that I could find on google, resetting the preferences, changing every setting in performance. My PC is not the issue, the graphics card is powerful enough, I have enough RAM. It used to work just fine.  The last project I worked on was 13 GB and I had nowhere near this problem, it was there at times but that is understandable with such a large file this is only 3GB.
My workflow has stopped, but after reading quite a bit of similar complaints it seems this is a recurring issue, or it could be a case of selection bias...

A colleague of yours recommended I start a new document and copy all the files to it, I did so, it worked for maybe 30 min after that the problem came back.

An important thing to mention is I only have this issue with floating adjustment layers, for example, ctrl+U or ctrl+L, with the normal adjustment layers it works just fine, with no lag, no extremely slow response. But I use both adjustments and adjustment layers depending on what I am doing so a solution would be great.

Is there a solution for this?

Can you share your system specs? Unfortunately making 2 posts isn't going to help you get this solved. Hopefully one of the Adobe people will jump in and can help.
