Question

Font size in version 26.0.0 20240927.r.26 a733fda x64 cannot be changed.

Is this a Windows 11 glitch or is it PS?

I am trying to change the Interface font size for my menu bar as well as in Preferences on Adobe PS. I have tried to delete the Adobe font cache but cannot, the message being that it is being used in dwm.exe. Preferences>Interface>Presentation and selecting UI Font Size:Large and Scale UI to font + a reboot changes nothing. The font size in my menu bar - File, Edit, Image, etc - remains miniscule. It does, however, change the font size in the drop-down menus, under those headings. Going through the Windows settings seems to have no effect on the PS menu bar either, but does affect the menu bar on some other applications.

Hi Eliza,

 

To address the issue with the font size in Photoshop’s menu bar, try adjusting your system display scaling settings:

1. Go to Windows Settings > System > Display.

2. Under Scale and layout: set the scaling to 100%.

3. Restart Photoshop after making this change and check if the menu bar font size adjusts as expected.

Thank you for your reply Anshul. I have tried this, but it changes nothing as far as the font size in the PS menu bar is concerned (eg.File)-- it remains extremely small, while the subheadings (eg.New) are much larger.

I want to sincerely thank you for your patience while awaiting a response. I appreciate you sharing the update, and I’m sorry to hear that the scaling adjustment didn’t resolve the issue with the font size in Photoshop’s menu bar.

 

To help troubleshoot further, could you please share a screenshot of your Photoshop User Interface preferences settings, as well as your Windows display settings? This will give us more insight into how everything is configured.

 

In addition, you can try enabling Compatibility Mode and overriding display scaling for Photoshop:

1. Right-click on the Photoshop shortcut or .exe file.

2. Select Properties, then go to the Compatibility tab.

3. Check the box for Override high DPI scaling behavior and set it to System or System (Enhanced).

4. Click Apply and then restart Photoshop.
