Looks like you have Faux Bold enabled in the Character Panel.

Certainly there is some problem if you are in doubt. Perhaps it has to do with your display driver because on my machine everything looks ok. Photoshop 20.0.1 on Windows 10.

I don't suppose it has a layer style > outside stroke, because that would do it

Nope.  My layer style screen shot is more rounded, and yours has a sharp bevel.

You say this happens when saving.  Would this be to PDF, because that can cause issues with type.  Never that particular issue in my experience though.

What operating system?  If OSX, I believe there are possible font issues

Hi
Trevor , I thought you were on to something with the stroke but as you pointed out the bevel is sharp. The other thing is that the bevel is not affecting all corners. The top of the "A" is unaffected and two corners of the "S" are also untouched.

Jordan - have you applied any processing to the text - or is it just a straightforward text layer?

Dave

Dave, I am always reluctant to assume obvious answers because the OP might be more experienced than us (well me maybe).  So I kind of tactfully crept up on the suggestion.  We need more information to get a handle on this one methinks.

It'd better get outside and do some work. It was 33°C yesterday, and not fun to be out in, but in the interests of domestic harmony...

Hi there

I think you have a stroke in your text with the position on the center

Eugenio.NYC  I had the same thought in post #2, but decided against it because it gives a rounded corner, whereas Jordan't corners have a sharp bevel.  I tried Centre to see it was different to Outside, but it isn't.
