Fonts change with Photoshop Template

I've downloaded a Photoshop template I want to use.  I installed the fonts.  When I attempt to edit the template the fonts change and it looks nothing like the template.  What can I do to fix this issue? Am I doing something wrong?  I'm using Photoshop CC 2018 on a 2014 iMac.

If the text in the template is still text in layers. Double click on the Text layers T icon in the layer Palette to edit the text layer.  Check the name of the font displayed in the  Tool Option Bar is the font that you purchased the template with.   You may have accidentally changed it and save it.  You may have let Photoshop substitute for a font you did not have when you first open the template.

If you create a new test Photoshop document, are you able to access these new fonts and include them in the document?

Presumably they are Typekit fonts?
