Fonts

Howdy, I'm not the angriest guy, but I can see him when I look in the mirror these days. My dilema is photoshop and fonts. like most, I've been using PS since the first iteration of PS, so naturally I have bought and a massed a heap of fonts. I would like to use them and not use the typekit fonts. Before I could open PS, make a graphic, and the software would access my hard drive for fonts I was using. Suddenly, I'm not able to do that anymore. Yes, if there are 3000 to access it's kinda slow...for you, but not for me. I'm fine with it. So if there is a way to access the fonts on my drive instead of typekit, can you please enlighten me.

thats odd.  PS should be able to access all the fonts installed on your system. And your settings are correct I presume, also make sure you havent got "show adobe fonts" selected as I am illustrating here:

Double check some of the other preferences too.
