Forced Wacom driver update disables functionality in Lightroom & Photoshop

I've been using the Wacom Tablet / Pen Intuos 5 for several years now (on PC Windows 10). I was forced to do a Wacom Driver Update now (the Pen Tablet functionality is severely impaired unless the update is done), and after the restart the functionality in both Lightroom as well as Photoshop is now as good as completely useless. I have gone into my Start Menu - Services - Wacom and done a stop/restart - again to no avail.
Does anyone else have this issue? PLEASE HELP!
If I knew that buying a new Tablet every time would fix these update issues, I would even go as far as doing that... I'm incredibly frustrated!

Sometimes Wacom's newest drivers are buggy. Which driver version do you use?

I'm using at the moment the German version 6.3.30-3 (or 6.3.30-5, I'm not sure) with Windows 10 and it works fine in Photoshop and Lightroom.

Try to deinstall the driver and install an older version.

Wacom Tablet Driver Not Responding is one of the common problems which results in Lightroom & Photoshop functionality issues. It can be solved by Refreshing the Wacom service.
