Frame thing just appeared on ALL my files

I have Photoshop CC 21.0 on a Mac with Catalina. I'm attaching a photo so you can see what I'm talking about. I was working on a .psd file when this frame thing suddenly appeared on that file and another .psd file that I had open. Closing and reopening didn't help. I opened a few more files, like this .jpg stock image that I have not manipulated, and it's still there. I must have hit a stray key with my fingers and triggered it. What is it, and how can I remove it?

Never mind! My finger DID hit a stray icon, an additional crop tool I hadn't noticed before. It's the crop preview tool. Once I stopped highlighting that, the frame went away. I can't remove this message, so I'm replying in case this is helpful to someone.
