My artboard has a number of frames on it that represent where I want images to go, When I try to use quick export as PNG, the frames disappear. What is going on. Notice on the image below there are no frames standing in for images and there should be 8. Please help!

Those appear to be empty frames, they are not intended to provide pixel output.

You need to place something into the frames for them to have an effect in that reagrd.

Could you please post a screenshot taken at View > 100% and with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Channels, Paths, Options Bar, …) visible?

What exactly are those frames – Layers with a Stroke, Shape Layers, …?
