Free Transform

Hi

 

When I press free transform, it selects half an image that isn´t there.

Any clue what this could be ?

I suspect the Layer was clipped sloppily and actually has pixel content way over on the right. 

Please provide the file. 

 

You could try removing the excessive content by Select > All, Layer > Layer Mask > Reveal Selection and then Layer > Layer Mask > Apply.

In a first step you should try to reset the preferences of Photoshop using the steps described here:
