Freezing photoshop 2020 when using Magnetic Lasso tool

when I was using the magnetic lasso tool to select a section of an image.and I went beyond the outer edges of image, photoshop would freeze and any work would be lost, the task manager would have to be used to shutdown photoshop in Windows 10. This would happen every time until I went in the Preferences and changed the setting in plug-ins to not allow extensions to connect to the internet. no more problems and the amount of resources used by photoshop have also dropped. perhaps Adobe might want to check this odd issue

Photoshop ver 21.0.0

Windows 10 Home ver 1903

Dell XPS with i7-8700 CPU with 64.0 gb of ram

    I'm having the same issue and would have to end PS in task manager, but I realize it only freezes when I'm usig my Huion tablet to make the selection. When I'm using the lasso tool with my mouse it works fine. I'm not sure if this is an issue specifically with my tablet or it's with all tablets.

      Hi

      Just tested with "allow extensions to connect to the internet" enabled and cannot replicate the issue you described

      OK, that is very good for you. it does cause the issue for me.
