Question

Frequency Separation Works on One Image But Not Another

I applied a frequency separation to a baby's face that I inserted to a digital background.  It works on the lower layers, right above the face insert layer. However, there is an upper layer with generative fill in the face that doesn't look right, so I moved the frequency sparation to the top; that still doesn't look right.  I spent an hour rearranging all of the layers and it doesn't come out right so I saved the whole thing as a JPG and opened that in a new file.  When I run the same Frequency Separation plug in, nothing happens!

I am also concerned, if I do get it working, that the rest of the JPG image will be effected, not just the face.  In the previous file, it only effected the face but I don't know enough to understand why.

Please help!!  I'm on a deadline.

What are you trying to accomplish? Frequency Separation is a setup process, from there you would do other operations.

Please post a screenshot of your unflattened file with layers panel showing.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
