Garbled titles w/in PS on artboards

So I had a garbled title on an artboard in a file with four artboards. Created a new one and the garbled title fixed itself. Saved the doc, reopenend and the new top most artboard in the file has a garbled title.

So the top most left artboard always has a garbled title. This happens no matter the setting for Font/ Font Preview Sizes... s/m/l or none.

Everything is updated to latest drivers, Win 11 and all creative cloud apps I have installed.

@design224 curious if you have tried this...

Go to Preferences > Technology Previews... and check "Disable Native Canvas" - then restart Photoshop. Does the problem still occur?

Also:

Go to Preferences > Performance... and uncheck Multithreaded Compositing - and restart Photoshop. Does the problem persist?

thanks @CShubert . It appears after Intel updates it's drivers (way more than any other vid card I've used before) and when I use multiple artboards.

But, I just had an update and have been using your suggestion and it seems to be holding strong!

Hi @design224

Thanks for reaching out.

Which version of Photoshop and Windows are you working on? Would you mind sharing a screenshot?

Go to Edit > Preferences > Performance > Use Graphics Processor > Set it off if it is on Custom or Auto. Does this help?

What happens if you create a new document?

We're here to help, just need some info.

Best,

Ranjisha

@Ranjisha Sengupta

Hello. Photoshop 24.2.0, Windows 11 Version 10.0.22621 Build 22621.

It has been working today after some updates that Intel released today. I hadn't been able to even select my GP so the specific issue with the garbled artboards is fixed. But, it seems after the last two recent updates to Photoshop, a new driver is required before I can reselect the GPU.

Is it just a weird coincidence that smaller updates are always also touching the gpu? I would guess Intel or even NVIDIA wouldn't think to  have to address smaller updates though I get that 24.2 jumped out of .1.

Thanks for replying
