What version of Photoshop are you running?

Hi Ana.  I just tried it with 25.12 and 26.0 (beta), and it worked OK in both.   This was on a MacBook Pro M2

Can you describe your exact workflow?  i.e. did you make a selection and click on Generate, or did you use a prompt?

What was the image size, and roughly how large (in pixels) was the selection?

Any more details that might help us work out what is happening?

Was there any error message?

Hi,

Yes, I also have PS v 25.12 and MacBook Pro M2, and it's greyed out for me
when I make a selection. Typing a prompt is not an option because it's
greyed out.

The image size was what I usually use for work 2000x3000ish px, and just a
small selection to see if it's working. And it wasn't giving me any errors
- just greyed out in the contextual bar.

Thank you,
Ana

@anaj32629146 Check your firewall settings - other users have been reporting Sequoia is blocking Firefly AI.

@anaj32629146 here's a test - turn your firewall off. Does it work?

Are you on wifi or hardwired? If wifi - make sure you are connecting to the network via 5 ghz and not 2.4 or dual band. Next, check your router firewall settings and make sure those are allowing adobe.com, Photoshop and Firefly.
