Generative fill - contextual task bar

i have been seeing videos of people pressing on generative fill in their contextual task bar, and an option to upload a reference image is there. i cannot find this button in my photoshop. any idea how to get this option?

It sounds like you might not have the latest update. Ensure you're using the most recent version of Photoshop, as the Generative Fill feature with the option to upload a reference image may only be available in newer releases. Try updating through the Creative Cloud app.

I made sure i updated the app, i'm currently using version 26. 

so it's definitely not an update thing
