While using the generative fill, the work process seams to start, but there is no result. It just goes back to the selection.
I read a few times this can happen while using a file in greyscale but mine is in RGB. I´m using a Laptop with the latest Windows and the latestes Photoshop.
Could it be possible, that the feature is blocked by anything? I´m not the only one with that problem...

You're not alone. Generative Fill and Generative Expand haven't been working for me since at least the start of this week. Some old community posts indicate it might be Microsoft Defender or the Windows Firewall blocking communication between Photoshop and Adobe's generative AI servers, but I'm not sure since Photoshop's Generate Image tool still works for me, not that I have any use for it most days.

Hey @defaultda0fhg7tk29p!
Could you give me a bit more detail on this? Does it happen with certain images, or does it affect all images when you're using Generative Fill? If it's only in specific cases, have you noticed any pattern with the images where it doesn't work?
Could you also share your System Info? You can find it under Help > System Info. Just copy the info into a text file and attach it to your response.
Thanks a bunch!
Alek

I'll drop my own reply here. My problem arose suddenly and persisted across all images in Photoshop. Yesterday I discovered that the cause is that my organization’s ID department had blocked access to the domains necessary for Firefly to function. I’d advise anyone else who uses Photoshop on a business computer and experiences a sudden and total loss of Firefly functionality to check the Adobe Firefly domains required for Photoshop functionality listed at https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/kb/network-endpoints.html and see if your network admin has blocked any of them.

@defaultda0fhg7tk29p check your Firewall/Windows Defender settings to make sure Photoshop, Adobe, and Firefly are allowed. If it is allowed already report back and we can try other options. Most cases this is the issue.
