Generative Fill is AWOL

Hello All,

My generative fill box is missing. I used it just last week. Now I get a different box, with no generative fill option. When I select something, the box changes, still no generative fill. I've tried using different tools to select, updating everything, restarting my computer, accessing PS from LR, all to no avail. Screenshots of dialog boxes attached. Also - when PS is open, the icon on the dock (Macbook Pro) doesn't show that it's open, however another PS icon appears in the 'recent' area, showing that it's open. And right now, I have 2 Photoshop windows open. What the heck?

You have two versions of Photoshop open. GF is in 25.0,  build m.2181.

Do you have a selection? If not, do that first.

We need to see a screenshot that includes your selection and the Layers panel. It could be something on the selected layer.

Yes I know I have 2 versions open - I did that accidentally. But I shouldn't even be able to do that? Do I delete one version?
