GIF: Save for Web (Legacy) works, but Export As Gif does not work

I am not sure what I am doing wrong, but I can only get my .gif file to cycle when I export it via save for web (legacy). I cannot get it to cycle when I use the export as gif method. I am using a Mac and PS 25.3.1. Thank you!

Yes in Photoshop only Save for Web can save animated gifs.

While us users don't know what Adobe had in mind for Save for Web when they labeled it Legacy, it seems until Adobe comes up with a full replacement that includes proper color management, animated gifs, slices, etc, Save for Web will hopefully be around for the foreseeable future.

Gif from Export As does not work or you want an animated Gif, which only Save for Web can do?

An animated gif. I saw that it is going to be phased out, so was hoping to use another method for getting an animated gif. Although maybe there's not an alternative way yet? Thank you!

Not sure where you saw it was being phased out - not the case. Use Save for Web.
