Glitches beim Zeichnen oder Verschieben innerhalb Ebenen-Gruppen im Modus »Multiplizieren«

  • June 4, 2023

System:

iMac Retina 5K 2019 (Radeon Pro 580X 8GB / 64 GB DDR4)

Mac OS Ventura 13.2.1

Hi all,

Go to Preferences > Technology Previews... and enable “Older GPU mode (pre 2016)” - Restart Photoshop. Does the problem persist?

Go to Preferences > Technology Previews... and check "Disable Native Canvas" - then restart Photoshop. Does the problem still occur?

After I used the "Older GPU mode (pre 2016)" setting, the problem with artifacts no longer appeared. But my CPU is very heavily loaded.

I have now additionally checked the setting "Disable Native Canvas" and continue to test it.

Do you have any other ideas?

hello @CShubert

Thx for your reply again!

But unfortunately the problem isn’t resolved.

In the meantime I had some time and did the following:

Completely reinstalled my system and freshly installed all my Creative Cloud programs.

I then tested everything with activated »Deactivate Native Canvas«  and / or deactivated »Multithreat Composting« – without success.

The problem is still there or again! 😞

There also seems to be a correlation between the layer mode "Color" and working on the layers below. See sample video.

As soon as I activate the black layer in mode "Color", the glitches appear. If I turn them off, they go away. Additionally, the artifacts come and go as you zoom.

Very annoying and annoying! I'm getting a bit desperate.

What else can I try? Couldn't it be a bug?

Thx a lot for any help, Hubertus

Hi @HubertusausBerlin thank you for the update and the video that shows exactly what you are seeing.

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

Unfortunately till now the problem isn't resolve.

But perhaps it would be possible to delete the post here - and let only remains only the other one?

Hi @HubertusausBerlin

Let's make sure we're in a default state and there are no stale settings somewhere:

Restore your preferences using this manual method:

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#Manually

Does it work correctly?

If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back.

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.
