Got adobe photoshop preinstalled with new laptop.

I have got Adobe photoshop preinstalled on my new laptop. But it is very old version. 
How can I update it to new version to use AI features?
Upon clicking on updates, after a minute, it says, could not install.

The Creative Cloud subscription model has been the only option for Photoshop in quite a few years now.  The cheapest way is to get the Photography plan which is a huge bargain at US$9.99 a month
