This issue keeps coming back and I'm getting frustrated. Everytime when I want to use the gradient tool, it shows this error and when clicking OK PS shuts down without saving.
I can select the gradient tool and place it, but when I want to make changes to the gradient this happens. Doesn't matter what change I would like to make, when working in the gradient always an error and shutting down. I did reset my tools and it didn't show the error first time trying, but then again the issue was back. Resetting the tools doesn't work anymore.

Thanks for the videos. I can reproduce this in the last version of Photoshop 2024. However, I can also confirm that the latest version of Photoshop 2025 v26.7 does not have the issues with the Gradient Tool. Please update Photoshop via the Creative Cloud desktop app & let me know if the issues exist.
