Hi,
I'd like to create circular gradients with interruptions, similar to the last box in the gradient editor of the older version. Is this no longer possible? I'm having trouble with the gradient tool, but I need it for my brand.

Yes, you can still do that type of gradient. You just need to add gradient stops and adjust the spacing between them. To match what is shown in the example you posted, all you need are a series of stops along the opacity gradient, alternating between 0% and 100% opacity. Varying the opacity gradient is what allows the layer behind to show through.

Open the Gradient editor, and from the Presets section, look in Legacy Gradients > Legacy Default Gradients:
