Hand Tool Misbehaving Since cc2017 Update

When an attempt to move the canvas is made using the hand tool, the canvas jumps around on the screen but does not scroll. This is new since I updated CC a couple of days ago. Also when using the keyboard shortcut for "undo," (cntrl+z), the hand tool is automatically selected, instead of remaining on the tool that was being used (i.e., brush tool, etc.). Are there new commands or shortcuts for these tools? Thank you.

Short cuts have changed so you will see something different but for using tools, have you tried to reset them to default to see if they try to behave properly?

I am using 2017 on two Windows 10 machines and I am not seeing any problems apart -cut keys you've mentioned.

However, it starts very slowly but I suspect I'll get used to it.  I am quite patient about giving time to launch the APPs or Operating systems.

Try using the Move tool.  I use Hand tool to deselect any tools that I might have used previously.

    Good luck.

Thank you mytaxsite.co.uk. I shouldn't have to use the Move tool...the Hand should work (the goal is to use the tools that get the job the most efficient way possible). As I'm working in the application, I'm noticing many more things working incorrectly...up/down arrows actually move layers left/right...unable to "undo," keyboard shortcuts are performing other strange actions, etc. Restarting AGAIN...

Thank you for the insight. Have the shortcuts changed in only Photoshop? I've been working in Illustrator and InDesign and haven't noticed much of a difference (other types of things so far...like text box display in InDesign, etc.). I just updated Monday so surely there are more *fun* surprises waiting for me! It's unfortunate that when Adobe decides to change things up significantly, the proper support isn't there to let users know (i.e, published shortcuts that we've all been used to using for YEARS: Default keyboard shortcuts in Adobe Photoshop).

I will try to reset shortcuts to defaults. Thanks for the suggestion and have a great day! :-)
