Hands on Tutorial missing steps

It's been happening to me on so many hands-on tutorials that as I am going through the steps (the blue pop ups), eventually when I complete one step, the next step does not show up, and then I click next again and it will tell me to do something that could only be done later in the project - (some steps get skipped). It makes it very frustrating as I want to get better but am not able to succeed this way.

I undertstand that is very frustrating, especially when you are tryin to learn. I'm guessing the tutorials have not been updated with the new versions of the software. I recommend you find other resources for learning for now. LinkedInLearning is a great resource, you can take a class, online or at a local community college. I have a class that starts at the very beginning - self paced and I teach online - https://creative-training.com/classes/photoshop.html. YouTube can be tricky - some great stuff on there and some not so great stuff. It's hard to learn from videos when you are starting out with no knowledge at all about the apps.
