Handtool shortcut space stops working for all adobe applications

I've had this issue for about 1-2 months now.

The hold space handtool shortcut just stops working for all adobe applications.

The same issues are found on these forums, but there doesn't seem to be a solid solve.

I gave all the permissions on apple, tried closing all other apps, tried reopening the applications, waiting for updates and installing them immediately to see if that will fix the issue. There is no solid solve exept for restarting the entire pc. Only for the issue to reoccur completely randomly. There is no explaination what other applications makes the adobe programs malfunction like this.

Anyone having the same issue?

There doesn't seem to be a concrete solution, for me the fix was to change all the shortcut keys in non adobe/apple programs. The issue always appeared when using company programs or microsoft that also uses shortcuts, even unrelated to the space button, I had to turn off all of them in order to not have the issue anymore.

Yes, the ones that applied. The issue remains and is only solved by restarting the pc.

Also, it isn't just Photoshop that has this issue, when it happens, all the Adobe programs have the same. (InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, Lightroom etc) It doesn't matter which programs were already running or which I start, the space bar doesn't work anymore.

Update: I just started my laptop, the space shortcut stopped working right away, without any Mircosoft apps open.

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

That's the thing, I can't seem to pinpoint the exact cause of the problem. Yes, it might be Microsoft. But the problem never occurs on start up. It does not matter if I open Mircosoft or Adobe first, the issue occurs randomly throughout the day. I can't seem to recreate it, atleast not while restarting and trying to open different applications first or last.

Hi @Hoodedhood do you have any Microsoft apps running? I recall opening any Microsoft application first seems to take over the Mac OS shortcuts blocking other apps including PS. Try a test restarting your Mac, then launching PS first - does the space bar work? If yes, restart your Mac again and launch a MS app - Excel, Outlook, Word, etc. then launch PS - does the spacebar fail?
