Having issue with glitched image in Photoshop and freezing.

I teach a digital art and design class and when students are using photoshop and the wacom cintiq 13" screens they are getting glitches and freezing like the images I have attached. Any ideas on a fix? We are on 7 year old computers so some of it I know is probably hardware related, but hoping there is another fix.

We're sorry about the trouble with Photoshop. Would you mind sharing the version of Photoshop the students are you using along with the operating system they are working on?

If they are working on the latest version of Photoshop, they can try enabling the option to Deactivate Native Canvas by going to Preferences, then Technology Previews. Once done, relaunch Photoshop to check if that helps.
