I just tried to create an HDR image from a set of six .DNG's, all open in PS CC 2019. Result is ok in terms of sharpness, depth of field, etc., but is badly oversaturated and overexposed compared to the source images. I suppose I could tone it down in Photoshop if I had to, but why is this happening to just this one set of images? I have used this method many times before without a problem like this.
What is going on here, and how can I improve my workflow over the standard ( File > Automate > Merge to HDR Pro > All Open Images ) ?
I noticed that the workflow included a step to adjust the exposure time and aperture setting for each image. When I halved the exposure time on each image in the HDR Pro output panel, there was no observable effect on the HDR merged product image.
Any assistance appreciated, as always.
