Heal, clone continuous stoke issue with tablet pen in PS 2019

Since Photoshop released PS 2019, I have had continuous trouble with using my graphics tablet pen with tools that require continuous stokes (brush, clone, heal etc).

For example, I am using the clone tool. I take my selection, and want to brush over an area in a single, continuous press on with graphics pen.

To describe what I am doing, to hopefully help understand what I mean, this motion is as if I'm shading in an area with a pencil on paper. One continuous press of the pen to surface.

Photoshop will not follow a continuous stoke, and only applies the tool effect on the point when my pen makes first contact with the tablet. I move my hand to make the continued stroke and the desired effect does not follow to cursor.

This has only been happening since the update to PS 2019 and I know of a few others who have had this exact same issue.

My tablet driver is up to date, PS is up to date.

Any help would be much appreciated. If this is a bug, please fix it asap, Adobe!!

This has been a problem since CC 2015 or earlier and just keeps getting worse. The only solution is to downgrade to a previous version. Adobe will never fix it, we just have to accept that Photoshop is broken now.

Thanks for your reply. Funny you say that, I've had no trouble with the pen with previous versions, it's worked perfectly fine. It's so sad how we pay of lot money to Adobe for applications with very little support. If it continues for much longer, I may have to downgrade!

Hi

What operating system are you using, not having any issues with CC2019 on Windows 10 using a Wacom tablet
