HELP::About CopyRight to Modify and distribute the Photoshop Script

Is there anyone could give me any advices on copyright issues of modify/distribute Photoshop Scripts?

we always directly modified the script that inside PS installation Folder
($/Presets/Script)...

but concerning about Copyright problem, is there any rules we should followed when trying to distribute those modifications to other people?

Any help would be appreciated.

Im certainly no authority on the matter, but I would guess that so long as You dont take payment for those Scripts and the people who get them have purchased Photoshop anyway there should be no significant problems  maybe mention Your sources in the Script for politeness sake at least?
Can any of the real Scripting-professionals weigh in with their take on the subject?

I take payment for the time I spend modifying Adobe scripts. When it's finished,
they are free to give it away to whomever they choose as am I, provided the
Adobe (and my) copyright and licensing information remains intact.

I don't sell scripts, but I do sell my time. Other people can and will (re)sell
my scripts as long as they are not tweaked versions of Adobe scripts.
