Apologies if this is in the wrong forum.
I'm on a MacBook Air, OS: Sonoma 14.1 (but problem started with Sonoma 14)
I have a large PSD file, just over 300mg. But when I open the PSD it is just showing a flattened "static" image.
The file is still 300mb and, when moving from my external drive to my desktop to try to fix it, it still took a bit to transfer over as if there's 300mb worth of "stuff" in the file. Yet, it opens up with just that flat static image, shown below.
I've tried the Wondershare Repairit tool, with no luck.
Can anyone suggest a way to repair this PSD? Tools you'd recommend? The amount of stories of a building to throw my computer out of a window?
Thanks so much to anyone who can help.

Fle corruption is always caused by failing hardware. In this case, did you save directly to the external drive? That is something you should never do. Worn and loose cables and connectors can easily break connection for a microsecond during the save, especially if the drive gets a little bump. That's enough.
Always save on local drive, then copy over.
