HELP: Issue with frame delay for GIFs
Hello,
I have recently encountered some issues with frame delay that I've never had before so I'm hoping someone can help me.
The way I usually make my gifs is by opening the video file ➡️ convert it to smart object and use topaz smart filters and then flatten frames into clips ➡️ make frames from clips ➡️ set my delay from 0.03 to (usually) 0.05 ➡️ go to video timeline ➡️ convert all layers into a smart object ➡️ do all my coloring and editing > save.
This has worked for me for a good two months (ive only been using PS for about three) but now all of a sudden its stopped working in the sense that, as soon as i go to video timeline and save, the gif is not the delay ive set it to, before sometimes it goes back to 0.03 delay sometimes it goes to 0.07 delay (i dont exactly know what influences that, since i haven't done much after i started experiencing this issue) However if i save the gif before i go to video tl as in while im still in frame animation the gif is at the delay its supposed to be. Its very frustrating considering ive had this workflow for so long and it's basically the only way i know how to do things.
My laptop broke down the other day so we had to change the hard drive and in the process i got rid of PS and installed it again, i was hoping since i did that it wouldn't do this anymore but alas im still encountering this problem.
This started happening two days before i took my laptop to get it fixed and a total of 4 days ago. I have Photoshop CC 2019 if that's going to be of any help 😔.
As well im sorry if i haven't used the right terminology for stuff or if my worlflow isnt the usual way people go about making gifs, im still fairly new at this and this is what has worked best for me. While i know i could just basically do everything ive done up until this point save the gif then open in PS and just change the frame delay like that I'd rather just find out how i can fix this issue so without doing that extra step y'know.
