Help Please with Photoshop - it's completely blank!

I only use photoshop for mockups - so I am not a ‘power user’ -  I just opened photoshop for the first time in about 10 weeks and it’s completely blank!

I had planned over this long weekend to create some new mockups and refresh some older one.

The documents now simply open blank, I can see the channels, layers, duplicate layers etc — but the document window (canvas?) itself is completely blank?!! This is happening on new documents, old mockups I’ve used before and even on a newly downloaded mockup I recently purchased.

I was astounded to find that adobe phone support is NOT 24/7 - no weekends. I am using an iMac (Apple M1 chip) running Sonoma 14.5,  photoshop 2024 up to date as well (v.25.9).

I’ve searched the forums and googled a bit. I’ve renamed the UXP file, I cannot ‘uncheck’ GPU processing because it’s grayed out already, and I do not have a ‘native canvas’ box to uncheck - it is simply not there!

So disappointing and frustrating. Anyone else experiencing this? Grateful for for any wisdom and help you may have for me. Attaching a screen shot of what every file (old or new) looks like.

I'm going to guess that this is the ongoing issue with GPU and similar to others that see a black or white image but with actual content showing in the layer thumbnails.

Try updating graphics drivers and or looking at prefs for technology preview: native canvas or changing other GPU settings.

Your screnshot shows a .psb file of a blank layer. Try to close thos tab to get back to the main file
