Hi all! Two quick questions, I am attempting to re-create the following images via. PS -- I am struggling to decipher the effects used in both instances. Attempted to apply a 50% threshold bitmap to re-create the first image, however, was unsuccessful. Detailed advice / guidelines would be so greatly appreciated.
Thank you! C

Hi there, apologies I am just seeing this! By 'unssuccessful', I mean that I could not replicate the effect, used on the dog in image 1. Thank you so much for your help!

Could you post the image you want to edit to simulate the b/w effect?

Well, comparing a photograph and a straight up illustration is difficult, but a couple of Filters can help emulate the effect somewhat.
Edit: But some drawing/painting may still be necessary.

Thank you very much, I so appreciate the help. Might there be a chance, that I can recieve both .psd files to study from directly? Just want to understand the specifics of the edits made. No problem, if this isn't possible!

As for the second image a combination of desaturating, Posterization and Gradiant Map Layers and the Layer Style Stroke might be used to simulate the effect.
This would primarily work for on-screen representation, if you actually want to silkscreen-print an image with three colors on textiles you may need to work at a higher resolution and manually prepare the separations.
