Help with Halftones/Bitmapping

Hi, so I'm working to make some images large enough to print at 12 feet tall, without the files being absolutely massive. One of the images we're working with is already bitmapped, so we're bitmapping the other images to get them at a larger size easier and a more consistent look to the whole print. However, when it prints it's creating this grid pattern that our clients don't want. Is there a way to fix this? Or a different way to bitmap it? I think I did round at like 16 lines per inch and 150 dpi or something along those lines.

Right, as others stated I'm not sure I get the whole bitmapping requirement. Is is for a creative look you're trying to achieve?

In general, I usually fall back on the print vendor's specs - do you have that info? Because they will usually give you an at-scale value that doesn't have you upresing to 20gb or something.

Using 16 LPI and 150 PPI gives less than a 10x10 pixel halftone dot. If you increase the PPI to something like 1200, the dots will be 75x75 pixels, which will look a lot smoother.

Regarding a more consistent look — will it be necessary to have all the images with the same screen frequency?

Please provide meaningful information and screenshots.

Why would you consider bitmapping the images? Do you not want levels of gray and/or color?

What are the resolution requirements of the print provider?

What is the original images’ effective resolution at the final size?
