Help with transition

I have a template used in iRacing of a ZL1 Camaro. I am having the most difficult time trying to go from the fender to the hood with a simple red line about 10 pix thick. If you just put a simple line from the fender to the hood when you view it one part will be over here and one part will be over there. It even has a wire mesh to help you line things up but i guess im to stupid to figure out how to use that. Any help is appreciated.
