Hiding selections

How do you hide selections in photoshop 2023?

Cmd+H

The first time you use Cmd+H you should get the following dialog.

Click Hide Extras which includes selections.

And if you missed that dialog box, you can always customize the Hide Extras keyboard shortcut at any time, using the Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts dialog box. Just enter the shortcut you would like to use.

If you don’t like using keyboard shortcuts and you would rather toggle extras visibility with the mouse, choose View > Extras.

These things did not change in Photoshop 2023, they have worked this way for many versions.
