When you go to edit text, it won't highlight and the "I" beam will not show up.
Past answers to this say to turn off the GPU Processor or graphics card, as I saw far back as 2018, however I have never had this problem before.
Turning off my MAC's GPU Processor is not a solution as it makes everything look horrible and blurry.
I am on the latest MAC software with the highest possible upgrades....
Need a solution or update to fix this problem ASAP as it is affecting workflow substantually.

Having the same problem.
On a windows 10 pro running the latest updates on photoshop. I've already tried reseting my text tools and haven't seen any changes. When I try to create a text box or create a new line of text it's completely invisible until I hit enter.

It works if you convert the file to RGB.
I did notice something odd...Highlight the text and if you zoom almost all the way into the text it kinda shows up around the screen except the middle.

I think I figured it out, but unsure what effect it will have on workflow go to Preferences>Performance and turn off "Use Graphics Processor"

Yea that is an old work around that they have been saying since 2018 but I have never had to do that before. Not to mention it makes everything look all blurry and pixelated.

Another work around...This time using the "Use Graphics Processor" checked.
So the problem is still there but if you scroll the text to the top/sides/bottom of the page the highlighting text and I beam work.
A pain in the ___ but it works.
